2011 is our fifth year of producing an animated light show for Williamson Workshop. The light show synchronized to Christmas music started in 2006 with a love of music, childhood love of Christmas lights, and motivation from the DIY network. This has been the Williamson’s opportunity to combine love of music, love of technology and desire to have a family hobby. From the youngest to the oldest everyone looks forward to Christmas and everyone has a job at the Williamson Workshop!

Located in Brookhaven on Tanglewood Drive, this year there is a total of about 47,000 lights and six to seven songs. Our newest addition is ” Queen of the Winter Night” by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Returning from last year are the “Leaping Arches”, the “Mega Tree” and all of your favorite tunes. This year our favorite addition are our neighbors down the street. The Mumbower family on Sandalwood Drive are now linked in wirelessly and are excited to join the world of sychronized lights. We are very happy to have them!

During show hours, listen to the lights by tuning your car’s radio to 87.9 FM. The show started November 25, and will run thru New Year’s Eve. Lightshow times: 5:15pm – 9:30pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5:15pm – 10:00 pm. Friday and Saturday. During Christmas week, the lights will run until 10:00pm due to the large amount of traffic. If there is a lot of water on the ground due to rain the lights will not be on.

This is a season of giving,  and it is the desire of Williamson Workshop  to give back in some way. We will continue collecting  contributions for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) research. DMD is the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed in childhood and young men with Duchenne typically live into their late twenties. Research is at the heart of advances in treatment and care for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Funding Duchenne research is a core objective for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). PPMD is the largest nonprofit organization in the United States focused entirely on Duchenne. There will be occasional opportunities to give onsite but most of the contributions may be taken online at Donations are tax deductible. Help us to beat our 2010 total  $2015.72!

Thank you for visiting us online. Enjoy the show and Merry Christmas!
